Weapons Tier List

This weapons tier list ranks FRONTLINES primaries for online 7v7 play. It is a snapshot for decision-making, not a law. Pair it with primary weapons, Attachments, and Maps and Modes.

Ranking criteria

  • Time-to-kill potential
  • Recoil accessibility for average players
  • ADS and mobility
  • Magazine discipline
  • Map flexibility across TDM, KC, Domination, and KOTH

S-tier

Nightwing — Extreme fire rate and friendly recoil make it a CQB monster. Manage reloads or you gift the gun to whoever killed you. Deep dive: Nightwing.

AS VAL — Close-range pressure with controllable spray. Featured in many high-kill clips for a reason; still loses open canyon lanes to prepared snipers. Full guide: AS VAL.

A-tier

MP5 — Balanced SMG energy for players who strafe well. Excellent trainer gun before Nightwing discipline.

The Fix — Sniper with snappier handling than AWM in many community takes. Demands first-shot confidence.

AWM — Classic bolt threat on long sightlines. Slower follow-ups punish misses harder than The Fix. Compare both on AWM and The Fix.

B-tier

M4 family / flexible ARs — Controllable, attachment-rich, and ideal for learners from Getting Started. Can reach A-tier with strong gunsmith work from the attachments tier list.

EBR — The designated marksman that fills the gap between M4 and bolt snipers. Strong on Launch and Canyons when you can tap first shots; weaker if you treat it like Nightwing in Factory. Mk14-style receivers change the identity — test after base mastery. Details on Primary Weapons.

C-tier / situational

Weapons you have not attached yet, or guns forced onto the wrong map, play like C-tier regardless of meme status. A naked sniper on Factory is a donation.

Secondaries note

Secondaries rarely define tiers alone but decide reload windows. See secondary weapons.

How to use this list

  1. Pick the highest tier gun that matches your map range.
  2. Fund attachments before hopping to another S-tier toy.
  3. Recheck after updates.
  4. Ignore anyone selling scripted “aim tiers” — scripts are bans waiting to happen.

All seven primaries at a glance

FRONTLINES fields seven primary weapons in online 7v7 play. Rankings below assume attachments are funded — naked guns shift down one tier automatically.

Nightwing vs AS VAL (the real debate)

Both sit S-tier for close fights. Nightwing wins raw TTK if you control mag dumps; AS VAL forgives slightly sloppier sprays and sounds terrifying pushing Factory stairs. Pick Nightwing if you trust reload discipline; pick AS VAL if you rotate mid-range corners without swapping guns. Watch verified AS VAL gameplay on the AS VAL guide.

Sniper tier nuance

AWM one-shots the fantasy; The Fix cleans up follow-ups. On Launch and Canyons, AWM players hold pixels; on mixed Cavalcade, The Fix players flex after first picks. Neither belongs on Factory unless you are hard anchoring a single long lane with team callouts. Read AWM and The Fix for breakpoint and unlock advice.

Secondaries change outcomes

A tier list ranks primaries, but secondary weapons decide reload duels. Nightwing without swap discipline plays a tier lower. M4 with fast pistol swaps plays steadier in Kill Confirmed.

Patch discipline

MAXIMILLIAN updates are infrequent — see update history — but Discord rumors move faster than facts. Re-test your main after any balance note before buying a new primary. Fair improvement beats scripts every time.

Practice beats screenshots. Queue with a plan, not only a letter grade.

Dedicated weapon guides

Want more than a tier row? Read Nightwing for CQB melt discipline, AS VAL for pressure rifle gameplay with embedded footage, and AWM and The Fix for sniper lane strategy. Economy context lives on Game Passes — Robux never moves a gun from B-tier to S-tier by itself.
